My G4 grandfather, John Parry, was b. in Henllen, Denbighshire, Wales 9 Jun 1766. His brother, Moses Parry was the G.grandfather of John Rowlands, AKA Henry Morton Stanley. If you have information tracing Joshua Perry to Wales please let me know. If you further informaiton relating to Joshua Perry please share it with me.
The known progenetor of my Davis family was Abel Davis [c1760-1847]. His son, John Davis [1800-1880] advised census taker in the 1880 census that his father was b. in MD and mother in PA. His mother's name was Mary Huffman d/o John Huffman, b. 1741, Berks Co., PA. I believe that my Abel Davis was related to Abel Davis of Pencader Hundred
Jane Van Voorst who m. Rev. John DAvis, brother of Abel Davis of Pencader Hundred resided in Jarettsville, Harford Co., Md. Several clues suggest my Abel Davis was b. in Cecil Co., MD. A specific clue is the Van Voorst family that lived in White Co., IN at the time of Abel's death in 1847.
