Would like to learn more about an early Goodin, Gooden, Gooding(possibly also recorded as Goodwin)family of Kent County. The earliest member of the family in Delaware was Daniell, who died in 1724. He had two sons, Moses and Joseph, and perhaps more children. Could this be the same Gooden family as the William Gooden who is buried at Cow Marsh Baptist Church? His dates are: born June 24, 1815 and died Feb. 25, 1896. He evidently owned a tract named Cabin Ridge, lying on the west side of Cow Marsh ditch, as is reported by Scharf.
