Looking for parents of Stephen T or P Davidson difficult to determine middle initial on census. 1850 Census Cannon Co, TN with first wife, Easter Mitchell who he married in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co, TN. 1860 Rutherford Co, TN. In 1870 Census with second wife Elizabeth Jane Alexander and his widow E J Davidson is found in the 1880 Census, Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co, TN. Their marriage also recorded in Murfreesboro. I have names and dates of birth and deaths of he and first wife and their children but very little info other than that and the marriages that are recorded there. I have most all the info on the children from his second marriage (my line). They were Abner Stephen Hineman Davidson, Mary or Mollie Davidson, Benjamin Clayton Davidson, Nancy or Nan Davidson and George Washington Davidson (my ggrandfather) who was b. in Rutherford Co, Tn 1869 and married Sue Pyland in Ripley, Lauderdale Co, TN. They moved to Monette, Arkansas in 1902 and both are buried at the Old Burroughs Cemetary just outside Monette at one time the cemetary location was called Poplar Ridge. They owned several 100 acres there between 1902 and 1930. Their son Willie Lee Davidson m. Lena Starnes in Monette in 1915 (my grandparents). I have more details on the children in each of these generations if any one is interested. I have been trying to identify Stephen Davidson's parents for over 30 years. I have been told by some that his parents were William and Polly Cottrel Davidson of Vermont and I do find a Stephen in that family but he would have already been in Cannon Co, TN at that time, I think. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jeanne
