Seeking information on the family and origins of James DAUGHERTY Sr. b.abt. 1780, m. (1) abt. 1800 to UNKKNOWN, enum. 1820 in Lenoir with household 010010-20100, enum. 1830 in Lenoir with household 1100101-0020001, enum. 1840 in Lenoir with household 00110001-0000201. He may be the same James DOUGHTY [sic] who m. (2/?) 19 Dec 1822 in Craven Co. to Nancy TINGLE. Names of his children may include Winnifred (m. EVANS), Jacob and Jesse. The surname is sometimes spelled DAUGHETY.
