This is the answer I received from Genealogy.com.
Thank you for contacting Genealogy.com Technical Support.
Currently there is an issue with Genealogy.com homepages that is preventing some users from updating information on Family Tree Maker homepages. Our developers are aware of the situation and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.
Also, be advised that each user on Genealogy.com may only have one homepage of each type (i.e. one Family Tree Maker homepage and one Genealogy.com homepage). In addition, note that only Family Tree Makers 2005, 2006 and version 16 have the ability to update/upload to Family Tree Maker created Genealogy.com homepages. Any program newer than version 16 version will upload to Ancestry.com instead and any programs older than 2005 will not upload to any site any longer.
