FTM 2009 is greatly improved but even though the new features of FTM 2008 and FTM 2009 now function with only minor problems, reports continue to be less than what FTM v16 provided, the overall processing time is slower than FTM v16, the location map is a resource hog, and the processing of anything over 15K persons is unacceptable. The slow processing time begins when making a new file from an existing GEDCOM and then almost every data operation, e.g. adding a person, dates, locations, facts and etc. is absolutely unacceptable. I just do not have the time of patience to update my online data for now but will soon. The good thing is that all data errors I found previously have been corrected. HOWEVER, if you convert a GEDCOM with v16 or earlier data to a FTM 2008/9 file, you cannot go back to v16 from FTM 2008/9 without loosing Place/Description data!!!!!!
