Hello Emily. I am sure there is a connection but the names you have given me do not immediately come to mind as being people I am familiar with. I am busy with work and personal things, but if you will send me your address and/or email address, I would be happy to look at what I have and respond. I would also be happy to send a copy of the information I have to your home at a later date. It may be into August before I could send a copy to you, but could provide some information via email to get us started. Thanks for the response! It has come to our attention that the family at some point changed the name from Danklefsen to Danklef. You may want to check into it. Also we have discovered that our family left Germany at Breman, and traveled to New Orleans and then up the river to St. Louis. My grandfather and his brothers owned and operated a saloon in Mt. Olive, and their uncle was a distributor for Anhauser Bush. May help in making a connection. |
