The son's name is Nicolas CONSTANTINIDES.
On his marriage cert his fathers name is listed as Constantine Stavrinou.
Does that mean his fathers full name is
Constantine Stavrinou Constantinides
Hi, I hope I can help, this is what I know. My parents are from Cyprus, my mother, Erasmia Meitanis was also known as Erasmia Ioannou, because her fathers first name was Ioannis (John), my father, was George Elisseou was also known as George Evagourou because his fathers first name is Evagoras (Evan). I was told that since it is such a small country, and the towns are tiny, they took up the habit of calling the children by the fathers names so Erasmia "Ioannou" meaning Erasmia, Ioannis daughter, and George "Evagorou" meaning George, Evagoras son. They have a few "endings" meaning "Belonging to ..Ou, es, sometimes they even went by the fathers profession, for instance, my grandfather was a farmer "Voskos" so sometimes they called my mother Erasmia Voskou (Belonging to the farmer)
Therefore, I am assuming that Nicholas Constantinides, meant he was the son of Constantine, and the family name is Stavrinou. Good Luck!
