Thank you so much for replying to my post!! I am sorry for the delay in my reply. I have been out of town. Ignatius F. Johnson lived with George W Lee and took his name even though I don't believe he was actually adopted. I am not sure how George Lee, who lived about 70 miles away found out about Ignatius Jr. or why he took only Ignatius Jr. and not the other children. I have Ignatius(Jr.) Johnson/Lee's WWI registration. He served as a Chaplain and was stationed in New York for part of the time. Where did you get the information that Bisel changed his name? You mentioned that there is no date for this text?? I have planned to order the death certificate for I W. Johnson, but am not sure if this is the same person as Ignatius W. Johnson although it seems likely. I do not know if Agnes, Bisel or Vera were adopted so I don't know how to find a marriage certificate. I have tried to search the 1910 census, but so far have not been sucessful in finding any of them. Thank you for your help. If you have any other insights I would welcome them.
