Can anyone give me the lowdown on Hartford's death records / certificates from the 1880's? I am researching someone who died around that time, but not being able to visit Hartford in the near future, I'm wondering what information--if any--is included from that time period.
1. Do death certs actually exist from this time period?
2. If not, are there at least older-style death rolls?
3. What info is included if they do exist?
I have seen abstracts and things like that, but I really want to get a hold of the original document in this case, and wanted to know before I continue if I am on a "wild goose chase." Ideally, I would love to see what one looks like, but I've been unable to find any online and doubt anyone has one on their computer lying around...
Thanks very much for any help someone can provide!
