I, and 2 other researchers with whom I am working, who have hit a solid brick wall re: Kitteridge DAVIS.
Our primary source of information comes from his Rev War Pension Application dated 8/1832 Franklin County Probate Court, VT, in which he states his age as 73 years, a resident of Enosburgh, born in Mansfield, CT.
His brother, Daniel, age 68, testifies that he and Kitteridge were living with their family [Father Thomas?]in CT, when Kitteridge first enlisted in 1776. That their father's farm was in Somers, CT, at the time of the Revolution, from which Kitteridge departed and returned.
Sometime during the war, Kitteridge removed just over the border to Wilbraham, MA from which he enlisted twice.
Kitteridge married (1) Anne Beebe, d/o Ebenezer & Anne Beebe of CT; (2) Mary {possibly Tub or Tubbs} as evidenced by a Quit Claim Deed dated 6/2/1827 in Enosburgh, VT in which son-in-law Jesse Woodward [husband of daughter Anna]would furnish Kitteridge and his wife Mary, with conveniences for the rest of their lives.
In 1864, Jesse Woodward removed from VT to Sumpter, Sauk, Wisconsin with his son Jason and daughter Evaline. At the time of his death, 9/7/1885, Jesse was living with his son Edwin and daughter Evaline in Republican City, Nebraska.
