Same info I have, except I lack specific data in re John C? Smith SR. Appreciate your quick response.
John Smith Sr B. Litchfield CT 1763: D?
John Smith'Tinner'Smith B. Litchfield CT 2 Jan 1788: D. Aug 1859 Wabash Co IL, M. Rebecca Ballard B. 1791 in NY D. 1869 Wabash CO IL.
Three sons-James, George Lyman, John R Smith.
Geo L M. Mary Banks and had 9 children, some of whom are mentioned in info you have.
Wabash CO settled in early 1800's, Indians were still there and had massacred settlers not long before. Lancaster IL is built on massacre site.
John 'Tinner' died 1859, son Geo Lyman a year previous, I think.
And to add more ancestral fuel to the fire, a cousin sent a deed from one Lyman J Smith of Litchfield CT for property in Mt Carmel, Wabash CO IL. He or someone on his behalf had bought property, returned to CT, where L J lived in Litchfield at the time of the deed, dated Jan 19, 1848.
I don't know who he is, and no marriage or birth records seem to pertain to him.
Someone said she was going to take up something relaxing as a hobby-maybe bungie jumping:)
