Well, I thought I post on this board to see if anybody here may have any ideas. My Ebenezer Mudge Jr. was in many places during his lifetime, but was in Litchfield County CT some of the time, marrying 2 of his 3 wives here.
Unfortunately, for me, I have related to his first wife, Hannah ?, whom he married in Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT. Where she died is unknown. It could have been in Litchfield Co., CT. Based on when their last child was born, she would have died sometime between 1750 and 1752.
Below is info. I have in where and when he was in Litchfield Co., CT.
He moved to Sharon, Litchfield County, CT by April 1752. Ebenezer was in Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT by Sept. 1763. He was a founding member of the East Canaan Congregational Church on Dec. 5, 1769 and was dismissed at his own request to the church in Lanesborough on April 24, 1774.
Ebenezer married a second time to a Patience Fuller (Mayflower Descendant) after Jan. 21, 1752 in Sharon, Litchfield County, CT. He had 2 children by her, Patience (b. 1753, died young and is believed to never have married) and Stephen (b. 1758, m. ?, had 9 children, one being named Ebenezer). Patience died abt. 1769/70 in Canaan, Litchfield, Co., CT. He married a third time to Marcy (Mary/Mercy) Wilcoxson Cornish around 1771. Marcy had become a widow on May 10, 1753 when her husband, Gabriel Cornish, a farmer, had been killed by a kick of a horse in Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT.
