I am in the process of writing to every Savino in Stamford, CT. While looking for my family Facciuto/Faccinto in Stamford, the library sent me this obit. Dated april 8, 1936, FACCUITO- On Wednesday April 8, 1936 Emanuela (also known as Emanuela Savino) age 74 yrs. wife of the late Rocco Faccuito .
Funeral service will be held from her late home, 107 Liberty ST. Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock Blessing at the sacred heart church at 10 o'clock Interment St.John's Cemetery Springdale,CT.
I know that is St.John's catholic cemetery on Hoyt st. in Darien now but the old part was called Springdale. My name is Betty Facciuto Mclaughlin, my Fathers mother is buried in ST. John's and we visited the cemetery this past Sept.10, 2004. I have been looking for family since 1998 but really looking diligently since 2002. First i found the Facciuto's of which most of them spell the name with an N where the U is. My grandparents are Filomena Colangelo and Francesco Faccinto, their children the oldest William P Facciuto was born in Hartford CT. that is where his mother and father were married in 1909, but my dad Anthony Joseph Facciuto was born on 9 rose park in 1911 and his sister Rosa was born at 55 Stillwater AVe. in 1913.They are all deceased now. Francesco was sponsored by his uncle to come from Forenza , Italy in 1903 and go to his place at 8 for divinity, the manifest is hard to read, I have both my grandmothers and my grandfathers ship manifest papers. I would like to talk to you more about the Savino Family as regards to how they are related to the Facciuto family, Thank you and hope to hear from you real soon. betty Facciuto McLaughlin
