I am looking for families who may be related to the Gregory who may have been persons who worked with leather or saddles. This is a very IMPORTANT clue to my research. Please check the Osborn, Fillow, Benedict, Baldwin, Moorehouse, Starr, Northrop, Keeler, Whittney, Wildman,

1850 Census for Hartford CT.
August 16, 1850
Gregory, John age 27 b. CT Occ. Saddle ___Maker
Gregory, Maria (Mary) age 25 b. NY
Gregory, Edward age 1 b. CT

John's father may have been a Stephen Gregory.

John's wife was Mary Elizabeth Osborn, from those who settled in Danbury, Hartford, Milford, Southport, Brookfield, Norwalk, Bridgeport.

Thank you so much for taking the time to think about your families.

Kindest regards,
