Don, The Crum Family in America book doesn't have a last name for Sarah. I haven't been able to find the marriage record but I am pretty positive her maiden name was Wright based on other evidence I have on the Wrights of Monroe County Indiana. One William Wright whose estate was probated (not sure when he died and am still trying to figure out which Wright he was) in 1850 listed a lot of relatives. Lots of his brothers and sisters children were listed although not all of his siblings names were listed. In there, every child of John Crum Jr and Sarah were listed, Jacob, John, Eliza, David, and Mary Ann. Their daughter Mary was listed as Mary Ann Fossett and her husband, Pleasant Fossett was the Administrator. So, I think we can be fairly certain that thier mother must have been a Wright since William Wright obviously wasn't a Crum. I haven't found the marriage record though. It cold have been in several places since the Wrights also came from NC to Ky and then to various places in Indiana before some of the started settling down. Just like the Crums moved around a lot. I am not sure where Sarah is buried. Kathy Snow |
