Jean; Thank you very much - I guess we are "step-cousins" ;>) Can you tell me when Katherine died or when John CROSS married Sarah JONES? In the 1830 Harrison Co, VA census John CROSS has a daughter b 1825-30 - he married Katherine PRUNTY in Dec 1829... By 1840 (Wood Co, VA) he had 2 daughters. Is this the same John CROSS in 1850 & 1860 Ritchie Co, VA census - John is age 42 and 52; and has wife, Jemima 38 and 49. There is a daughter, Jane, age 12 in 1850 or born 1838.
