I am also VERY INTERESTED to learn about my great grandfather's military status. His name was John Samuel MORRIS, b. 1836, Lambeth, Surrey, London, England. Father James Duggan Morris, mother Elizabeth Dennes Smith. Story passed down to me by my father was that he fought in a War, possibly the Crimean War, the Balkan War. I have been searching to find a record or list of the British soldiers who served in these wars. Thanking anyone, in advance, for any help you can give me.
