COWAN Victoria Anne It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victoria Anne Cowan on Sunday, May 24th. Vicky was born June 20th, 1949 in Vancouver. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Frank Rytir, her beloved daughter Rebecca and husband Kevin, her father Bert and wife Sue, brother Barry and wife Ingrid and her cherished nephews, Daniel and Thomas. also mourning her passing is her faithful terrier, Phoebe. Vicky was predeceased by her mother, Victoria Louise. Vicky leaves many dear friends, including those from her flying days at CPAir, Canadian Pacific Airlines and Air Canada, the Burrard Yacht Club, the Upper Lonsdale Garden Club and the North Shore Unitarian Church. Vicky cherished her family, friends and the many wondrous facets of nature. In her all too short lifetime she enjoyed many special times traveling with her father, Bert and Frank and Rebecca to many parts of the world. She also spent countless days cruising the inlet coastal waters of our beautiful province aboard the Victoria Anne. Vicky's love of nature is reflected in her beautiful garden and her personal artistic attributes. This world is a lesser place because of her passing. Vicky touched so many lives in many different and unique ways and she will remain a part of who we are and in our hearts forever. The family is very grateful to the staff at VGH Neurosciences and Palliative ward for their compassionate care during this journey for Vicky.
