How would I go about digging up more info on my Great Grandfather Howard Cowan. All my grandfather knows about him is that he worked for one of the big oil companies in Chicago. My Grandfather Ronald Cowan is about 73 so I estimate his father was born maybe a few years after the turn of the century. Unfortunately this is all we know about him my father was born out of wedlock his mother had an affair with this man Howard Cowan. I hope I haven't reached a dead end.
