Looking for ancestors of John and Cornelius Counihan. They married sisters, Julia and Margaret Herlihy in San Francisco 4-10-1864. John was born in Co Kerry Ireland in 1830. Became US ciizen in Nevada in 1868. Went to Petaluma,CA. Operated dairy farm on I St. Extension. raised family there. d. in 1915. Children were John 1865-1930, m. to Sarah A; Jeremiah Barthlomew 1866 - 1924. m. to Kate Sullivan; Mary Gertrude (Mamie) 1877 - ?, m. to Richard Smith; Julia Veronica 1872 - 1961, m. to Maurice Coffey; Emmett was youngest. He married and lived in Sacto and had son named Mervyn. Jeremiah was my mother's father. Elinor Counihan Williams, 1899 - 1991.
