On 1 AUG 1840 Charles Ashton married Maria J. Corey in Middletown, CT. She was born about 1816 and she apparently had a brother named Sylvester who was living with them in 1850 according to the Vermont Census. I know nothing about this branch of the family except that her parents were from CT. Charles Ashton apparently immigrated from London with his parents when he was two years old in 1820. That is all I know. If anyone knows the stories or anything else about the Corey family (or the Ashtons for that matter) please send it on. Thanks!
