Hi, Lisa, Thank you for the architectural study. I regret to say that I have no more primary source information than that I have sent. I frequently see the family name, and in the fashion that it appears within the study. Miles W. or Joseph Conway held a public position such as County Surveyor, Recorder, or Clerk, and his name appears within a document. I appreciate very much knowing that they began their migration from Mason County, KY, because it puts them in line with a migration stream that included a number of early families to Rock Island, the town. The Buford families were the most well-known of that contingent. Alexandra |
