Hi Conner researchers. I am searching for information on Philip Conner of Maryland. In the will of Thomas Allen of Charles County Maryland, he requested that Philip Conner raise his son William Allen. Thomas died 1648 when William was about 10 years old. Does anyone know if Philip lived with Philip Conner? William Allen did name a son Philip, which may indicate his father's wishes were met by Conner. In his will he mentions his eldest son, Thomas Allen, and his brothers, William Allen and Robert Allen. Desires that they not live with any papist. That his son Robert be sent to his friend James Bruse at Accomack. That Philip Conner of the Isle of Kent have his son William. Signed 23 Apr 1648. (Arch. of MD, v. IV, p.403).
