I too am looking for information on Cohee's. Particularly a Cohee that married a Hawkins from Wilkes County, NC. There are two Cohee's buried at Zion Baptist Church in the Haymeadow Community of Wilkes County, NC. My grandfather's half sister was Mary Hawkins (she went by her mother's last name: My great grandpa and her mother were never married.) Anyway, this Mary Hawkins married a Cohee and then married Avery Harrold. This Mary Hawkins had children with her first husband--a Cohee. I sure hope this is a connection.
