Edward was b 29 Sep 1793, married Eliz. Neville, d1858 in Rabun Co., GA. He was given the title of General for his part in the campaigns against the Cherokee. He was sheriff in Rabun Co., GA from 1831-1836 and a senator in the GA legislature from 1841-42, and 1855-58. He died in office. His children were Sarah, m Franklin A. Bleckley; Eliza, m Dudley Singleton; Margaret, m Edmund Singleton.
He was brother to Bashaba, and a son of Jesse. Other siblings were: Cleveland, Sally, John, Joel, Nancy, Elijah and Elisha.
