Nov 7, 1826 Hugh Beard of Limestone Co AL gave power of attorney to Absolom Coffee of the same to secure land from Joseph Miller, whose bond said Hugh holds, and deed it to Alexr. Miller. Order Book F, pg 643, Adair County KY records. Does anyone know anything about this Absolom Coffee? Hugh Beard lived in Adair KY from 1800 to before 1820, seems to have gone down to Bedford Co Tn for 1820 census, then to northern Alabama. We believe he may have had sons and/or married daughters there. Possible marriage connections with the Coffees and Beards. Any info appreciated.
