Hello Bonnie,

Yes, I have located some family members descended through Jasper & Mary Jane (MINTON)COFFEY. A grand daughter through Melinda and a grandson through Jonathan Horton Coffey.
We have been working on this together and have come up with some info but still have a few gaps.
Ben the grandson has found the death certificate for Jasper Coffey and it has listed his parents as Joseph Coffey and Lucinda Coffey. Lucinda Coffey is the daughter of Enoch Coffey. We havenít figured out who Joseph Coffey could be. Jasper was born on September 16, 1851 or 1854 in Mortimer, Caldwell Co., NC.
I found some info on the family of Clinton & Margaret (Collett) Parks, Jasper Coffey was with them on the 1870 (at 18 years) Burke Co., NC Census as a laborer. And it was stated through family info that he was related (as a cousin) to Finley Coffey of the Kent - Coffey furniture company of Caldwell. I finally figured that one out.
Clinton Parks was married to Margaret Orella Collett, and Finley Coffeyís mother was Harriet Collett married to Drury Coffey. Margaret and Harriet are sisters and the daughter of James and Jane Stewart COLLETT. Whatís funny James Collettís mother was a Parks.

1850 Caldwell Census for the girls.
James H. Collett 43
Jane 39
Orella 16
Orlando 13>>>Clinton Parks
Harriet 9>>>Drury Coffey
Mary 7
Richard 5
Jane 3
Charles 1

Iím not sure how Jasper would be related to Drury Coffey. Daniel Coffey is father to Drury. Unless this Joseph Coffey, father to Jasper is, itís a mess.
Thanks for asking,
Deb
