I am the ADOPTED daughter of John 'Coffee' Mickel. I don't have a lot of info, however, I remember my dad telling me as a child...when I made fun of his middle name, that he got his middle name from his great grandfather...GENERAL JOHN COFFEE. I also remember him telling me that Gen. Coffee rode in the Confederate Army, beside General Robert E. Lee, during the Civil War. I also remember him saying that there was a book that he had, that stated this fact. Anyone having ANY info that relates...PLEASE share with me!
