Maranda I hope you have updated version of Adobe. Every time I tried to copy only a portion of the History of Johnson Co., it saved the whole book so I am going to attempt to send as an attachment. Well it did not work. There is some pretty good information in the book and the search feature works realy great. I wish there was someway I could get it to you. I could either send you the original disk as I have now copied it 6+ times to my document folder, or I could send as an attachment with a normal email. I did find out which church where my grandfather's namesake was a member. Providence Baptist Church was organized in April, 1846. It lists all of the pastors and A. M Cockrell was one of them. My grandfather's uncle, was listed in the list of old members as Andrew J Bell. Providence Baptist is in Post Oak township which is where my grandparents were married. I will call and see if they have any records from 1900. Wish me luck and let me know if you want a copy of the History. Bob Beall rjbeall@internet49.com |
