I am sorry but you are just dead wrong, frankly, to liken a grant of arms to the award of a medal such as the Medal of Honour, when a grant of arms SPECIFICALLY STATES that it is not only to the grantee but also TO HIS HEIRS IN THE MALE LINE FOREVER. Also, in regard to your stating that a first son of a first son of a first son can apply for a "revision" of those arms, that is comically quite the opposite from the truth, as the eldest male line descendant is the ONLY ONE who inherits the UNREVISED arms. Every other descendant must matriculate a slightly differenced version of the arms, but the eldest son of the eldest son of the eldest son is the representative of the Name and so inherits the arms UNDIFFERENCED.
