My name is Allen Cohen. My family is originally from ridgeway va. In the early 1900's our spelling of the name was changed from Coan to Cohen. I was cheeking the 1910 census of Ridgeway, Henry county Va and found John D. Coan age 67,Mary A. wife age 62,Birtha D. ? age 20,John D. jr. age 17. There was also, Caleb Coan age 13. Caleb was part of my family. John was born in South Carolina. If any of these names are familiar to you, I would like to hear from you. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
