Mary Lou,

Sorry - I have been away awhile, and, as you pointed out, the notification feature is not working. Yes, you should be able to access any microfilmed records at NARA in Washington. I was there this summer, and it is fairly user friendly. Archivists are there to assist. You must go through security, and then have an orientation (powerpoint) in order to get a researcher's card. Allow about a half hour for that. After that you can come an go. Read the following - and note things like what you can and can't take in. The video pretty much shows it as it is. I was surprised that there weren't more researchers there, and that I got some pretty good personal service.

I think it is worthwhile to go out of your way to visit there. The experience was worth as much as what I found.

Good Luck!!
Rick
