muster-in as private, Co. H , not stated; deserted, December 11, 1862, from camp near Bell Plain, V.A.

CURTIS, GEORGE E.— Age, 19 years. Enlisted at Hacketstown,
N.J . , to serve three years, and mustered in as private,
Co. B, August 3, 1861; transferred to Co. H , September 1,
1861; promoted corporal, September, 1861; returned to ranks, no date; again promoted corporal, March 1, 1863; re-enlisted as a veteran, December 26, 1863; mustered out witb company, July lY, 1865, at Halls Hill, Va .
