Hello to all Christner descendants, especially the descendants of Benjamin Christner here in Ontario.
I was very happy to read your very recent posting regarding Benjamin's Will and naming his children. I have spent the last several weeks tracing those families as best I could and had come up with the same family names, but felt the support for some was somewhat circumstancial.
I am a descendant of Barbara and Robert Harvey. A g-g-g grandson to be exact. While I was aware of Barbara's maiden name, I was fortunately introduced to the greater Christner lines not that long ago by another Barbara Harvey descendant.
I am sure that you have many insights and much information that would help me in my tracing. I wonder if you could assist me in obtaining a copy of Benjamin's will. Any assistance at all would be much appreciated.
I noted that you do not mention Moses in the list of Benjamin descendants, was he perhaps predeceased? I also wonder about the 1858 date you mention for Margaret's death. Though it is very difficult to read, I am not sure that is what is inscribed on her tombstone. I believe that in 1861 she was enumerated in the home of her daughter Mary "Jane" Irvine. I am currently of the belief that she died in 1862 at the age of 75.
It would be great to hear from you, if you would be so kind as to reply here or direct to my email account.
