The Abilene Reporter-News Friday Morning, October 2, 1942 Page Three Hold Services for Snyder Resident, 73 SNYDER, Oct. 1 Funeral for Mrs. C. P. Chandler, 73, Scurry county resident 36 years, who died here Wednesday, was held Thursday afternoon, at the Snyder Church of Christ. Raymond C Kelcy, Church of Christ minister, officiated. Born Aug 10, 1869, in Arkansas. Mrs Chandler had lived in Scurry County since 1907. She was a member of the Church of Christ many years. Odom funeral home handled arrangements, with burial in Snyder cemetery. Surviving are her husband..one son. Ather Chandler, Sweetwater: eight daughters, Mrs. Bill Graham, Snyder; Mrs. Bertha Ellis, Dunn; Mrs Vera Blackard, Carrizo Springs; Mrs. Maggie Humphrey, Mission; Mrs. May McClure, Pharr; Mrs. Lee Holliday, Ira; Mrs Vera Stavely, McAllister, Okla; Mrs. Opal Boyd, Corpus Christi; four sisters, Mmes. Bill Stoeboy and Jennie Knight, Clinton, Ark., Mrs. Van Bradford, Shirley, Ark., Mrs. Emma Griggs, Plumerville, Ark., and a brother, Peter Holderfield of Oklahoma. |
