Carol, Thanks for your response. Best info I have for Linza/Lindsay/Lindsey Chambers is place of birth for father on census of his children. At least they thought he was born in MO. I have found census locations less than reliable but a place to begin. If his family was in Mo early and while he was very young his children may have heard childhood memories and assumed he was born in MO--just don't know and for now I am going with that plan and looking for some family or proof of anything prior to his marriage. There was a large Jackson family in Buchanan County early too. I'll keep an eye out for ties to Permelia also, you never know what may be the key.
