It's good to hear from you again, Penny, and to know that you are still working hard to trace your Chamberlain family, after so many frustrating years of intensive effort. I continue to maintain a detailed research file here on this matter (including all known descendants), and I was indeed informed in March 2006, by Philip J. Chamberlain, of the WCGS, that a Stephen P. Chamberlain had DNA results that tied him to the Edmund/Thomas/William group, and somehow to your lineage, but I don't know just how. Perhaps you can tell me more about this, and why you believe that the DNA results pertain just to Edmund(1), as opposed to Thomas(1) or William(1), all believed to be brothers. Philip can probably explain this to you, if you contact him again.
Regarding the individual whose cemetery data you provided, this is John(4) Chamberlain [John(3), Edmund(2), Edmund(1)], b. 7 Mar 1741/42, Woodstock, Windham Co., CT, d. 23 Jun 1826 there, "aged 84 years", husband of Mary Frizzell, who died there, 19 Mar 1814; 9 children listed, including a son John(5), b. 20 Mar 1772, there, who married Sally Weaver, and he died there 18 May 1808. This is a well documented family (various sources cited), as listed in the Family Group Record prepared by the late Chamberlain genealogist, David Conrad Chamberlin, Sr., who identifies this John(4) as LN7641, should you wish to order a copy of this FGR from the Society. But I see nothing in the record to connect it with the family of your John Chamberlain and his wife Matilda/Margaret Atherton, whose son John, b. 1758-1762, NY or CT, married Elenor Canaan, b. NY, with their son John b. 2 Jul 1784, NJ, who married Mary Little, etc.
Please contact me via Email if you wish to discuss this information in greater detail.
