Steve, My wife, Chloe Watson used to correspond on this forum. I thought you'd like to know that next week we are spending 10 days in the UK looking at Chaffee records. We plan to visit Dorset and Somerset, where, we believe Thomas Chaffee the Immigrant was from. Our strongest hint is that he lived in or was born in Sherbourne. This has been after painstaking efforts by several Chaffees across Canada and the US. Many of the records in Sherbourne have not been listed by the LDS as yet, and this might yield something. We'll also do a pilgrimage to Chaffcombe as well. We'll let you know what we learn. Cheers, Chloe and Angus Watson
