Transcrips of the Smith Hill Cemetery, Otisville, Forrest Township Michigan lists the following: Martha I. Chaffee died 25 June 1877, 3 year 4 month, daughter of Martin & Phebe Chaffee, a Civil War Veteran. and: Sarah G. Chaffee died 02 March 1877, 2 months, daughter of M & P Chaffee. Additionall, there is a Franks S. Chaffee (1871-1933) and Lillie Chaffee (1877-1931) in the same cemetery. I'm descended from Polly Chaffee (1798-1875)who settled in St. Clair township, St. Clair County, Michigan.
