Looking for Avis Chaffee. Looks like you have some information I may need? My Father, Dale Burghart, b.1924 Deephaven, MN and lived near Ft. Ridgely, Sleepy Eye, New Ulm. His family lived near Bird Island prior to his birth. He just called me this evening out of the blue and asked if I could look up an Avis Chaffee. Wonder of Wonders, this is what I found. He said she went La Sierra College in southern California 1939 to 1942 when he was there. She used to call him "cousin".....and Dad wants to know how they were related. He said she was a tall girl, thinner than he was at about 6' and had blonde hair. So, I guess we're related, but how? Help me out here. Names are: Burghart, Adney, Olson, Kern, Prehn, Scurlock? Most of the Burghart's are buried at Ft. Ridgely. My dad also had a roommate about a year later, and the guys name was Forrest Chaffee? What do you know about that one?
