Would you extract all info. on what may be my
line, pages 604 & 605 when you get your copy of the book? It seems to be the only Chaffee genealogy book except, I think I saw that someone had a book, "Chaffee families in Vermont"
I am not taking what William H. says in his book as gospel until I can get some documentation of where Joseph came from and confirm the siblings and learn at least his pareny's names.
One of my gr. gr. grandfather's brothers was named in the book as William wonder if he was William H.?
My goal when I started my family research was to identify all of my ancestors back to gr. grandparents. I am now working on
gr. greats on two sides.
I have been working back and a cousin has been working forward. We have eight generations forward from Joseph of England to PEI line.
Oh, Yes, want to say that William H. has Joseph coming from Dorset. I have family history papers that say Devonshire. I have found what I believe to be Joseph and his four brothers in Devon, England LDS records! I will be going to the LDS Family History Library to order the microfilm.
If these are not my ancestors they most certainly are the bunch William H. referred to in thebook.
When any of the individuals didn't have a parent listed (LDS files) the name, Amos Pierre Fordham is down as a relative on quite a few of each given name I viewed. Do you have any idea who or why that name would be used? verbosity--is me,
