Thomas, the immigrant. You are correct about the lineage. What did Thomas do in England? Was he looking for an opportunity or was he run out of the country? I would like to find other relatives in the generations after Myron; ie, some of the brothers' decendents. I know where some of them wound up (as in Clarence, Clay, Almond, etc) and yes, the four additional generations would be through the male line up to, and including our son, Neil. In other research of my mother's family, for example, someone sent me a file on the Cowarts which I updated, sent back and now we are both up to date. I wish I knew where some of these Chaffees originated, what they did, where and why they migrated to other parts of the country. What was their military service? Did they own land? Those are some of the things I have been able to find out about my mother's family and they are of interest to me. One lady sent me some information on the Chaffees that indicated many of the males have blue eyes. My husband and one of our grandsons has blue eyes. That fasinates me. Harry Alvin, my husband's father was color blind. Since color-blindness is strictly a male disorder, is there a history of other Chaffees being color blind or was he unique in that regard? That is the type thing that interests me. Thanks for your reply.
By the way, are you still overseas? Coming home soon?
