My GESLAIN family includes:
Josephine "Amy/Aimme/Aimee" Chaffa (or Chaffie or Chaffee) (Annie C.) GESLAIN, b. 1883-4, NY (age 16, 1900 Census); d.s.p. Aug 8, 1967, bur Mt Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, NY, Plot # 2204, Section A, with husband [opposite Geslain Vault]; m. Jan 21, 1906, by George Clarke Houghton, DD, Rector, Church of the Transfiguration, (1 E 29 St, NYC, NY), Robert Crawford McCallum/McCulloh, Jr., (from Belfast, Ireland), son of Robert S. McCallum and Katie O’Connor.

Victor A. GESLAIN, b. 1847; d. Jun 5, 1895, age 48, Brooklyn Cert # 9653, bur Jun 7, 1895 [BDE 6/6/1895, p.7]; m. Oct 16, 1873, Mary E. Bryers (b. 1847, NY); m2. (??) Emily _____. Civil War - Co M, 15th NY Engineers, Private, Pension to wid, Mary E. Geslain. Mustered in as a Pvt, Feb 14, 1865, age 20, Co U, 15th Eng Rgt, NY. Mustered out Jun 13, 1865, Fort Barry, VA. (Ancestry.com, as Vitor Gesslain). He lived at Wyona St, and Jamaica Ave, 26-WD at his death.

Postings on various lists have referred to Aimee Geslain CHAFFE and Victor Geslain CHAFFEE. Does anyone know of a blood connection between these two lines?
