I am moreso searching for relatives with the surnames Casares or Castro, but believe that all 4 families are familiar with each other. I live in the Kern Co. area in California and know of very few relatives on my mother's side of the family(casares/castro) here in California and we do not communicate on a regular basis. My mother's name was Josefa Casares and I am not sure if she used her mother's maiden name, Castro, as a middle name before marriage. My mother was born in Texas, I believe San Benito, in 1934. Her parents names were Manuel Casares and Rita Castro, both deceased. I am not sure of their birthplace. She had 2 siblings, Maria de Jesusa and Manuel Jr. All are deceased. She married my father, Carlos Garza Garcia, in 1960 and moved to this area around 1965. His parent's were Luis Garza Garcia(deceased) and Abelina Garcia. I would like to just learn more about my ancestry and communicate with any relatives I may have because it seems that my mother's family is becoming almost nonexistent. I am very interested in learning about my family origin and history. Please contact me with any information or tips, regardless of which side of the family you may be familiar with, maternal or paternal, all is of interest! Thank you. |
