Dear Vickie,Abraham Edward Cash,76, died in 1921 in a nursing home in Adelaide, South Australia.Cashs at the time thought that he was older, so 1839 might well have been his birth year.He was American, a bachelor with red hair & ginger whiskers. He came to S.A. c.1869 to help out relatives in need. The connection starts with James * Mary Cash& 8 children who c.1836 left Enniscorthy, Wexford for Portland, Maine. The eldest child was Patrick(1819-67) who left San Francisco for S.A in 1850. There he soon married & had a young family. He died in 1867 as a result of an accident, leaving his family in need.By all accounts he did a good job. These Cashs were Catholics. I will continue this another time ... From Sid Ingham Phone: Australia 03 98151332. 73 Denham Street, Hawthorn, Victoria 3122, Australia. |
