SHREVEPORT, LA - Hazel Carroll McCoy passed away at Willis-Knighton Pierremont on Tuesday December 2, after a brief illness at the age of 91.

Visitation will be at 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 4, 2009 at the Kingston Road Baptist Church where she was a member. Officiating will be Pastor Crawford Williams and assisted by Pastor Trey Lewis of Kingston Road Baptist Church. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Joaquin Community Church Cemetery. Officiating at the graveside service will be Pastor Elmer Mathews of Good Hope Baptist Church in Timpson, TX, cousin of Mrs. McCoy.

Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by her husband, James Lemuel McCoy of 37 years, her father, Forest E. Carroll, and mother, Fannie Elizabeth Carroll.

Mrs. McCoy is survived by her loving children, Carroll Albert McCoy and wife Paula, of North Carolina, James Paul McCoy of Shreveport, and Martha Dee McCoy of Shreveport; grandchildren, James McCoy and wife Susan of North Carolina, Andi Lee McCoy of Shreveport, LA , Cindy Lou Boyett and husband Greg of Shreveport, and Shannon McCoy of North Carolina; four great-grandchildren, Amanda Kendrick of North Carolina, Matthew Boyett of Shreveport, Richard Ward and wife Kim of Georgia, and Kristin Pickrell of North Carolina; great-great-grandchild Zoey Ward of Georgia.

Pallbearers will be Gregg Boyett, Eddie St. Andrie, Joe Bill Spaw, Charlie Landry, Mark Reeves and Murray Zachary.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the care that was given to their mother, grandmother from the staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont. Rose-Neath Funeral Homes
