Around the time of the Revolutionary War, four Carroll brothers, Patrick, Keel/Kehal, Charles, & unknown appeared in Dorchester Co., Maryland. They attached to the Episcopal Church in Dorchester Co.- Keel became a trustee of the Union Chapel and Episcopalian church in New Market, MD. The brothers may also have had financial interests in Caroline Co. but an 1851 fire destroyed those records.
Patrick was a merchant in Caroline Co.
Charles remained in Dorchester Co., marrying Susanna Lord- 1790 census stated he was a Protestant land-owner, possessed no slaves.
It is thought that these Protestant Carroll brothers immigrated from Northern Ireland around the time of the Revolutionary War.
Looking for information on ancestry and origin, and the name of the fourth brother. Thanks.
