Carolyn - You mention JAMES IRBY CARROLL, whose mother was MARY IRBY. NEWELL WALTON CARROLL married NANCY IRBY - and families often inter-married so that Mary may be Nancy's sister or cousin. Newell & Nancy are my gggrandparents. Would like to figure the connection with yours - and I am sure there is one. Also, have heard Newell is the son of LeRoy Sr - but not sure if that is just a red herring. Haven't seen records that tie them as father & son. LeRoy Sr could have been an Uncle. Any information on MARY IRBY & the CARROLL line? Thx.
