Oh Larry I was hoping you would have the answers! I am not sure your James is my James. I was just grabbing for a chance straw. My James had sibling John W.(1815); William T.; Archibald Calhoun (1820 ish)(my line); and Matilda or Malissa who married a John Grisham; is all that I know of. The parents may be John and Matilda; who may have been born in VA., 1790"s. Later moved to Washington CO., TN (later became Greene CO.,TN). The parents and Matilda/Malissa Grisham may have stayed in TN. The boys all moved to Moniteau, Cooper, or Cole Counties of MO.,and Archibalda master cabinet maker of coarse followed the jobs and moved around to other Misssouri counties andd then on to Texas where he died in 1882. That is all I know right now. One of the boys was called "Mac" and had a desire to move around a quiet bit. I thought maybe the Madison part got nicknamed Mac. Just a chance.
